Dear All
Welcome to Week 3 of the ‘Digital Storytelling and the
African Storybook Project’ course! I’m
sure you have been wondering when you are going to start doing something like
WRITING on this course? Well, this is our crunch week where I’ll be writing
quite a few posts taking us step-by-step on the journey of starting our story writing
and you’ll actually be writing your story… in rough! Next week we’ll be
concentrating on the illustration part of your story and you’ll also be adding
your story to one of our suggested applications.
I do hope you have visited the course blog
and have joined and commented in
the Facebook group.
Remember, your interaction can be in either of these platforms or both
if you like. If your Facebook is blocked
you can simply just interact with the blog.
Recap of last week
Up to now I have been setting the foundations. Last week we became more familiar with the African Storybook Project website and what it offers. We hoped to consider what the African Storybook team is looking for in a story i.e. length, reading levels ideas etc. but ufortunately Lorato wasn’t able to get her microphone working during the webinar (Lorato and I will make a plan about this). However her presentation is on the blog. We also talked about Grade 1-3 learners and what they like reading.

This week’s
activities
For the rest of the week I plan to write quite a few posts talking us step-by-step on the journey of starting our writing as a rough copy! We’ll actually write our stories in rough!
